‘Soft-stripping’ works are due to take place in the coming weeks.
We have appointed Erith to undertake the ‘soft-stripping’ of the building. Works will commence on 15th June 2026 and are estimated to finish mid-January 2027.
‘Soft-stripping’ of a building does not require planning permission. We have met the local Environmental Health officer to talk them through our proposals.
The works will see the removal of internal fixtures and fittings, features such as door and walls, ceilings and floorings. Whilst we expect the soft-stripping proposed works to have very little impact upon our neighbours, we remain committed to keeping neighbours updated. We’re also hosting our first community liaison meeting where you’ll be able to discuss the upcoming works with the team on Tuesday 16th June on site at One Silk Street, EC2Y 8HQ from 5pm-7pm. Please arrive at 5pm. The meeting will conclude by 7pm.
