Consultation advertising

We have received various comments about the advertising of our first public consultation. In response, we have changed the way flyers were distributed; posting them with Royal Mail on
Friday 25th October to 4,584 addresses surrounding the site in envelopes printed with “Information enclosed regarding One Silk Street consultation”.

Retrofit or refurbishment

The project team have considered a range of different options from retrofit to full redevelopment. Information on this assessment undertaken with the City of London is available at this public consultation that explains the preferred option.

 Increase in people coming to the area

Research and forecasting by specialist pedestrian movement consultants shows the proposed east west route through the site is anticipated to attract people away from Silk Street (east).
